Adventure Books and Guides

Adventure reading can involve reading adventure books (which you can do almost anywhere) or reading while outdoors. For example, when you go camping you must remember to pack some material for reading.

It doesn't matter if it is something that you haven't read, or a favorite. There are even camps for kids to help build on their reading skills , and increase confidence and enthusiasm.

Most books for children are usually based on:

•  fantasy (which involve magic, monsters, heroes)
•  exploring the world
•  uncovering mysteries
•  discovering amazing creatures

You will also find many built around story lines of summer camp or while on a vacation. You may have a collection of books you loved as a kid. A good practice is to read to your children or make them read to you.

This can set you both on a wonderful adventure, (maybe for you a trip down memory lane), and improve your child's reading ability. Making reading fun is the best way to get your kids to enjoy reading.

Reading is a good thing to do if you find yourself bored at home. Those for adults are read for mystery, romance, nature or suspense. I think the best are those with story lines in a foreign country.

Some may also be about a particular activity, such as sailing or camping and others may be actual adventure guides .
