Adventure Collecting

Section targeting

Adventure Collecting involves acquiring specific items that are interesting to you, related to nature and adventure. The group of things that you gather is known as a collection. You can collect almost anything you make up your mind to.

You may have been collecting items from your early childhood, which I am sure brings back memories every time you go through your special collection(s). Maybe you started out by gathering things that you intend to use one day, but never do.

People build collections on just about anything from stamps , rocks , coins to celebrity memorabilia and others have collections that are downright weird such as tubs of butter.

If you have collections from past travels such as souvenirs, postcards and currency, then they would remind you of that special trip, or items such as cards and photos could remind you of people in your life.

As an adventurer you're probably a nature lover who collects found objects and maybe artwork depicting adventure. Sometimes it may not be the collection but rather the collecting that thrills you, such as with the digging up antiques bottles. I am a collector of quotations. You can browse them here.

The steps are identifying, selecting, learning about, evaluating, classifying, and arranging items that you are collecting. You must also be able to organize, catalog and display your items.

Some people even buy special cases in which to display their collections. The internet makes it easy to find and locate online stores and dealers for various collectibles. This is very valuable, especially when you're bored at home. The most popular adventure collection items available at local dealers or stores or purchased on the internet are:

Artwork
Starting an Art and Craft Hobby
Books
Bottles & bottle caps
Butterflies
Calendars
Cards
