Resort Jobs

Section targeting

At a resort, employees who have adventurous careers usually interact with holiday makers seeking adventure, recreation and relaxation. These employees therefore get to be a part of creating everlasting memories for other people.

I have been told by different people who work at resorts that they are thrilled knowing that they contribute in creating everlasting memories for others and their overall happiness.

Others say the thrill for them is in meeting people all over the world. Of course, not all resort jobs are adventurous but those which are adventurous are very fulfilling.

Jobs at resorts may be full time, part time or seasonal. It is possible to work in summer jobs at a resort, especially for seasonal ones like ski resorts.

Employment varies at these sorts of resorts during the on season and during the off season or shoulder season, an excellent opportunity for students to spend their summer vacation through outdoor adventure employment.

The on season is the peak time of occupancy whereas the off-peak time is mainly used for maintenance and grounds work. This is why you find some resorts employ seasonal workers in the spring and fall seasons to prepare for summer and vice versa.

Most resorts train their employees. If it is for long term employment, you should expect probationary periods anywhere from 2 to 3 months long.

There are many job opportunities at resorts; however I am concentrating on those which involve a bit of adventure:
